What Do Braces Do for Your Teeth?
Styles of Dental Braces
Today’s dental patient has several options to choose from due to the variety of braces that exist. Each style has its own set of merits. All of these styles provide successful treatment for improperly spaced teeth.
- Traditional braces are perhaps the most commonly used style. They are often the least expensive option as well. Traditional braces are made from orthodontic brackets and specialized wire. Together, they create sufficient tension to move the teeth from their original location to the intended one.
- Invisalign® braces are invisible. They make use of clear trays that are molded to the shape of your teeth. Your Las Vegas dentist must first make an impression of your teeth to ensure properly designed trays.
- Ceramic braces are designed with a combination of ceramic pieces that are attached to metal wires. The coloring is matched to that of your teeth in order to make them less noticeable.
- Lingual braces, which are not invisible, have been designed to create the illusion of being invisible. They are placed upon the back of your teeth, keeping them out of immediate sight.
